Winner of the Needhams Open Art Competition 2009 for new and emerging artists.
'Human Nature Painting' began on Thursday December 22nd 2005 on the evening of Johnny Panic’s last performance following the release of their debut album “The Violent Dazzling” with friend and guitarist Nash Francis. “These paintings came after rock n roll, an eight-year lesson that culminated in the very thing being flattened and stamped into one small polycarbonate disc. A profound completeness as a Warhol Marilyn executed in one squeegee’d stroke, complete only in its awe of subtle imperfections and inconsistencies, a perfect poetic concentration of souls, raw, noisy and untiring, The Violent Dazzling. It was from here that I began to make the series Human Nature Painting.”
